Hello,
SII team has started an action to migrate all mails from local to the Zimbra Webmail server. These actions are necessary for:

• increasing the security (mails will no longer be stored the PCs, which can be lost or stolen)
• automatic backups
• the availability to access all mails from any mail client
• the changing of the PC’s will not involve migration of mailboxes.

These actions will be performed during 15 May – 29 June and will be managed by Radu Severin (Helpdesk SII) in collaboration with a local technician. The plan for these actions is:

• we will determine availability of each person and will identify the method of the migration:
  • by yourself with the support from Helpdesk team;
  • partial or integral by the Helpdesk team;
• after determining the intervention time on your PC and the method of the migration, we will start the actual migration.

To not impact your production time, we suggest to organize Helpdesk interventions outside working hours.

Methods for mail migration:

• If you use Outlook, Thunderbird or Apple Mail, and the account is configured in POP (messages are fully downloaded):
  • a new IMAP account will be created
  • all mails will be copied from one account to another (drag&drop). This way the mails will be transferred to the server.
• If you use Outlook + Zimbra Connector it’s not necessary anymore to create an IMAP account and the method will be the same – drag&drop from old *.pst files to Zimbra account.

Methods for the filters migration:

• If you have filters on the local client Outlook/Thunderbird/Apple Mail:
  • they will be migrated just from POP to IMAP account in the local client. It’s not possible to automatically migrate filters from local to webmail.
  • if you wish to organize and filter the mails directly on the server. It will be necessary to recreate all filters on the server. These changes will take time, but it is recommended by us. You’ll have the following advantages:
    • same organization of emails indifferently which mail client you use: webmail, outlook, thunderbird, mobile client….
    • when changing your PC or your mail client there will no longer be the need to migrate mail accounts, filters, rules.
• If you have the filters created already on the webmail, it’s not necessary to make any changes.

You will be contacted in the next weeks to organize the migration.

Important: To avoid the unavailability of the mail service or Internet connection in the agency, we ask you not to migrate by yourself until you are contacted and informed that you can do these actions. Your mail box size will be increased just before the migration will be started.

To decrease the migration time and optimize your mailbox storage use, we suggest that you make some clean-up of unneeded mail before the migration process (ex: delete old/unnecessary notifications).

“Nous avons décidé d’être heureuses car c’est bon pour la santé” (Voltaire).

La précédente NL a été une tout à fait positive, nous avons cité que de bons exemples et événements. Ce mois nous allons continuer dans le même esprit, nous allons ignorer toutes les mésaventures et nous allons évoquer que des moments amusants et positifs. Nous n’allons pas citer les cas où vous avez oublier de mettre l’Identification Number, de compléter tous les champs de la demande de voyage et les modifications de dernière minute. Nous serons zen, ce que nous vous souhaitons aussi. Cette NL sera un peu longue, car nous n’avons pas pu vous priver du plaisir de lire les témoignages de nos voyageurs.

Cette fois-ci nous allons nous axer sur deux faits importants:

1) Deux nouvelles destinations ont apparu sur la carte “Pentalog dans le monde“. La première c’est Belarussie. Ce sont Vasile HRITCU et Robert IVANOVICI qui sont partis pour une mission d’un mois à Minsk. Vasile nous a offert la possibilité de sentir l’atmosphère et le rythme de vie de ce pays par son récit:
“The first contact with Belarus wasn’t one to be nicely remembered: it was midnight, very cold, the snow was covering everything (the name of the country is “White Russia”). I landed on an old airport (Wikipedia says it is the new one!), with a “soviet” architecture, with utility cars which were 30-40 years old. Still, I had some nice feelings, it was like a trip in the past.

In the next morning I discovered Minsk, a modern city, very nice, with huge boulevards and side-walks, very well built, with good transport infrastructure, clearly ready for the traffic and urban demography of the 3rd millennium.
What is shocking here are the Lenin statues, for one who witnessed their destruction in its own country: status, basoreliefs, pictures are all over the city. Of course, we can understand why…

Also, for a country which has a bigger number of policemen than solders, I expected to see Militia at every step, but I’m wrong, you see them seldom.

And a different thing, but again, understandable (Belarus was the heaviest affected country by the Chernobyl nuclear accident): every kitchen has a separate water tap, attached to a special filtering system (I hope it is efficient).
The bad part comes from the language barrier, it is almost impossible to find someone who knows a western language. It is funny how many times I ended up with weird products after grocery shopping or with different dishes after eating in the local restaurants!

For those who asked me about ladies (a good news for the single guys), but it’s something I’ve noticed in many countries of eastern Europe: the girls are really beautiful.

What is really nice here is the fact that the people are relaxed, I haven’t seen the western rush, I haven’t felt the daily stress of the modern people. I know their behavior, I’ve seen it and live it many years ago…
Clearly, Belarus is a country which will give the visitor mixed feelings, but the overall impression is a good one, I recommend it!”

Donc, les gars, nous sommes en attente de vos demandes de voyage pour les pays de l’Europe de l’Est!

La deuxième destination c’est Istanbul. Les chanceux sont Frédéric et Monica. Même si cette news n’est pas nominative, nous ne pouvons pas ignorer le courage et la ténacité de Monica et de lui offrir le titre La Plus Rapide Business Woman. Et cette nomination est toute à fait justifiée par son activité: le 04/04 dans la matinée - départ de Paris vers Bucarest, 05/05 matin – elle prend l’avion vers Cluj, 06/04 de bon matin retour vers Bucarest, quelques heures de travail à l’agence et dans l’après-midi, même jour, elle part vers la Turquie, Istanbul. Chapeau Bas!

2) Le mois d’avril a été marqué par un grand événement: Le Séminaire d’Orléans auquel ont participé environ 40 Pentaloguiens. Beaucoup d’émotions pas seulement pour les voyageurs, mais pour le Service Voyages aussi. Tant de vols dans un seul jour! Vive le facebook.com car c’est grâce à lui et à notre correspondant spécial, Gregory RONDIN, que nous avons eu la possibilité de suivre nos chers voyageurs et nous rassurer sur des faits comme: check-in effectué, vol pris, navette et départ vers Orléans. Je vous laisse lire le récit factuel de Greg afin de vous faire une image sur cet événement:
“Jeudi 19 avril, 4.30 am, Brasov sous la pluie froide me voila prêt pour attendre le minibus qui doit nous (les Brasoviens) conduire à Bucarest pour retrouver l’ensemble des troupes Roumano-Moldave ! Bien sûr le mini bus retardé par certains de mes chers collègues (dont je tairai le nom dans cet article, mais ils se reconnaitront) arrive avec enfin chez moi ! En route !!!

Très peu ont dormi jusqu’à Bucarest, peut être trop excités à l’idée de passer le week end tous ensemble ! Florin, le chauffeur, exemplaire comme à son habitude, nous a conduit à bon (aéro)port et ne s’est pas laissé perturber par les chants et la voix mélodieuse de Irina (la copilote) !

Check-in done. Bagages déposés. Fouille au corps terminée. Collègues Bucarestois, Clujien, Iasien et Moldaviens retrouvés (photos). Tout le monde est prêt à embarquer.

Dans l’avion tous furent calme et studieux échangeant sur le thème du weekend : comment ré-enchanter l’entreprise. Avec mon voisin de rang, Cornel, nous avons puisé toute notre inspiration dans le jeu Angry Birds quand d’autres ont préféré les magazines automobiles !

A l’arrivé à CDG Paris, Ecotravel (la startup soutenue par le Pentalabbs) nous attendait pour nous emmener jusqu’au point de chute : Orleans ! Au passage nous avons récupéré un colis de poids : Zoli en provenance de Sibiu via Munich !
Après un repas bien mérité, départ en groupe vers le château pour retrouver nos collègues Orléanais, le mec de Hanoi (Marc d’après Mircea) et bien sûr effectuer LA visite tant attendue. Même si la météo n’était pas des plus clémentes, le soleil a fait son apparition pour nous laisser faire le tour du superbe parc de plus d’un hectare, laissant libre court à l’imagination de chacun : ‘et si on faisait une piscine’, ’super pour les gratars’, ‘des matchs de foot a chaque pause’ … !!!

Après la visite, bref passage à l’agence pour nous re-concentrer sur le but de notre visite et commencer à débattre sur le séminaire à venir. Pierre De Thelin et Monica étaient en pleine action pour préparer les panneaux de post-it exposant les avis et idées de tous les participants.

C’est au restaurant 128 que nous avons pris notre premier diner tout ensemble, ambiance au top et motivation inébranlable! Après le restaurant, les locataires de l’hôtel Ibis ont pris une petite bière tous ensemble avant de se coucher ne fait pas de mal.

Les 2 jours de séminaires se sont très bien déroulés, les sujet de fonds ont été abordés et toutes les équipes se sont parfaitement joué le jeu du brainstorming.

Frédéric atteint d’un rhume carabiné n’a pas pu être des nôtres le 2ème soir et a préféré se reposer… il n’a pas manqué cependant de partager son rhume avec d’autre Pentaloguiens !! C’est beau l’esprit d’équipe !!
Le restaurant du dernier soir n’était pas au top d’après moi, mais bon un peu de calme et de silence n’a pas fait de mal car après la soirée a battu son plein jusqu’au bout de la nuit !

Le retour le lendemain fut difficile mais tout le monde est bien rentré, satisfait de sa participation au séminaire et la ferveur collective. La stratégie, elle aussi à fait bon voyage !! (photo sortie de l’avion)

Cosmina TUDOR a aussi partagé avec nous ses impressions concernant la visite à Orléans:
“Le séminaire a été pour nous tous une chance de se réunir et de travailler ensemble pendant 2 jours, sur des sujets d’intérêt pour Pentalog. Avant tout, pour moi cela a représenté un exercice de communication,  de travail en équipe et une occasion de connaitre mieux les perspectives des autres. Tous cela dans un cadre très agréable, d’ailleurs j’en profite pour remercier à nos hôtes pour tous les efforts J! Un autre moment dont je me souviens avec plaisir c’est la visite du château, le futur siège de Pentalog Orléans. C’est vraiment impressionnant quand on pense à ça comme lieu de travail : un château de 2 étages, avec toute une histoire derrière et en plus avec des super jardins. Pour faire un tour virtuel  vous pouvez visualiser la vidéo. Disons qu’avec des locaux comme celui-ci je n’ai pas de doutes sur les résultats de futures enquêtes de satisfaction de l’agence d’Orléans  ;-)  . “

Et vu que la Responsable Service Voyages, Livia RUSU-BUCIUCEANU, a aussi participé à ce séminaire, nous n’avons pas pu ignorer ses impressions . Nous vous laissons dans la compagnie de son récit romantique:
“Ce déplacement en France, comme d’ailleurs tous mes voyages, a été garni d’aventures.
Il a commencé très bien. Notre service Voyages a su et a pu arranger absolument tout, afin de ne pas se poser la moindre question de logistique. Si je fais un peu de rétrospective : deux vols et 4 avions, cela commence déjà bien. Mais en vie, c’est pas comme sur le papier.

Quand nous sommes arrivés à Orléans, le chauffeur de la navette s’est trompé d’hôtel et il a fallu descendre et puis fouiller dans nos mails imprimés pour voir que ce n’était pas le bon hôtel. Du coup, nous sommes remontés et partis vers le bon Ibis Orléans centre. La bàs, nous avons eu un déjeuner qui semblait plus à un *mariage*, le fiancé étant Cornel (les participants autour de la table savent pourquoi, vous pouvez laisser des commentaires même, comme ça ma lettre sera plus courte).

Le rendez-vous au Château des Hauts à la Chapelle Saint Mesmin a suivi notre promenade en pluie, mais à la fin, le soleil est apparu sur le futur siège de Pentalog.

Des siècles d’histoire nous séparent, mais le parfum du lilas, la coccinelle dans ma paume, les cerisiers en fleurs, l’air des caves françaises, les chambres en papier peint comme à l’origine, les cheminées, la vue impressionnante sur la Loire et mes collègues se baladant dans un jardin si paisible sont juste quelques souvenirs qui se sont imprégnés dans ma mémoire. Avec tous ces détails, c’était facile de s’imaginer les robes d’époques et la vie que Mademoiselle Raucourt menait dans ce manoir. Voltaire disait d’elle : *Vous faites tourner les têtes, vous faites soupirer les cœurs.*
Le séminaire “Ré-enchanter l’Entreprise pour conduire la croissance !” a suivi le lendemain. Il a été organisé autour de la thématique de la croissance et les problèmes que l’organisation peut rencontrer dans cette phase d’évolution. Le modérateur du séminaire a été Pierre de Thélin.

J’ai eu l’occasion d’être aussi l’animatrice d’un groupe de travail et de parler devant les gourous de Pentalog. Ouf, le Pentaloguien Next Generation était chaud 

Beaucoup d’idées, de faits, de débats ont fait que ce séminaire puisse apporter de l’innovation, du changement, de l’évolution et des nouvelles frontières à Pentalog.

La dernière soirée à Orléans a été très chaude, les murs de Gardel pourraient en confirmer. Et la nuit courte avec 2h de *sommeil*.

En allant prendre le petit déjeuner à 05h30, je croyais voir juste Serghei et Petru car notre navette était à 06h. Mais non, en toute splendeur Mircea étant assis sur 2 chaises, avec du papier humide sur son front et avec les autres Pentaloguiens (Cornel évidemment) qui venait juste de retourner de la boite de nuit rigolaient sur le couloir. En fait, on attendait Greg qui en a été informé que Mircea a eu une malaise. Moi, j’ai joué aussi mon rôle en tant qu’infirmière . Bref, pas de chance, Greg n’est pas venu…. Par contre, les autres étrangers étaient stupéfaits de la mise en scène. Il fallait voir le visage de Petru quand il a cru que pour de vrai Mircea n’était pas bien. No comment… J’avais aussi compris que nos chers collègues qui ne dormaient pas ont essayé de sortir Marc avec son lit dans le couloir…. Je laisse l’inculpé se prononcer

Finalement, nous sommes partis à CDG. Là, le chauffeur de la navette s’est trompé de nouveau, mais du Terminal. Nous avons dû courir, prendre une shuttle pour y arriver à temps. Que des rires, Petru et Serghei pourront en témoigner. Pour le check-in, je n’ai pas réussi à avoir le boarding pass pour Chisinau car je n’étais pas dans leur base de données. A Frankfort, c’était la même chose. Heureusement que j’avais 2 DA à côté de moi, et en plus des moldaves ! J’étais sauvé  ! Ils me conseillaient de me plaindre auprès du responsable Service Voyages
Juste après 2 heures de vérifications, on m’a donné un nouveau billet (Hélas ! qu’il avait des places dispos) et j’ai pu 30 min avant le vol d’avoir mon boading pass et retourner tranquillement à Chisinau.
Pour couronner mon histoire, la cerise de ce voyage a été bien sûr mon dessert préféré français : la crème brulée. La voici:

As I think you all know, People Centric has an on-line IT evaluation tests platform:

As the IT field is a very dynamic one the tests on this platform need to be continuously updated and renewed.
This is an action where you can get involved and contribute by realizing new evaluation tests on different subjects: Java, .NET, Business Intelligence, Management/ SCRUM Management, Databases, Web Services, Infrastructure/ Networking.

These are the rules that you have to follow in order to make a good evaluation test:
Number of questions – 20
Language – English
Type of questions – multiple choice (this means that each question should have 4 possible answers, from which only one is the correct answer )
Also you have to indicate the level of difficulty for each test (beginner, intermediary, advanced) and the time estimated for solving the test, the technology and the version.
Do not forget to indicate the correct answers to us so that we can set the application for automatic check-up.
Ideal the test should have 50% - theoretical questions and 50% practical questions ( for example you can write a part of a code and ask about the outcome of it, giving 4 possibilities as possible answers).

The test will be send in Word/Writter format.

For this activity and implication the overtime spent will be payed 100% - the time will be reported on a certain Epole project and phase which PEP will indicate to you.

La semaine prochaine, le 17 et 18 avril, on va lancer l’enquête de satisfaction interne vers tous les collaborateurs du groupe PENTALOG, au quelle vous pouviez répondre jusqu’à 2 mai le soir.

Cette enquête de satisfaction interne est anonyme et consiste à recueillir votre opinion sur l’organisation de Pentalog et la qualité des ressources qui sont mises à votre disposition par l’entreprise, afin de :
• identifier ce qui marche / ne marche pas chez nous,
• savoir ce que vous attendez de l’entreprise,
• mettre en place des actions d’amélioration de nos différents processus.

L’enquête est composé de plusieurs groupes de questions concernant tous les aspects de la vie dans l’entreprise : ambiance générale, votre agence, votre poste de travail, relation avec vos supérieurs, votre activité quotidienne, vos compétences et votre carrière, formation / auto-formation / Pentalog Institute (Direction Technique), système qualité, système d’information, voyages, service administratif et financier, communication / information. A la fin de chaque groupe, un champ texte vous permet de vous exprimer librement, d’apporter vos commentaires ou suggestions d’amélioration par rapport à la thématique générale abordée dans le groupe de questions.

Next week, April 17th and 18th, we will launch the internal satisfaction survey towards all PENTALOG group employees; you can answer until May 2nd in the evening.

This internal satisfaction survey is anonymous and it’s goal is to collect your opinions on the Pentalog organization and quality of resources made available by the company in order to:
• identify what works / does not work,
• what do you expect from the company,
• implement measures to improve our various processes.

The survey is composed of several groups of questions regarding all aspects of life in the company: general atmosphere, your office, your work station, relations with your managers, your daily activity, your competences and career, training / self-training / Pentalog Institute (Direction Technique), quality system, information system, travels, administrative and financial department, communication/information. At the end of each group, a text field allows you to express yourself freely, to make comments or suggestions for improvement on the general topic discussed in that group of questions.

Nous revenons vers vous avec plaisir pour vous raconter une nouvelle histoire inspirée de la vie de nos voyageurs.

C’était le mois du Martisor, le mois des femmes, le mois des hommes qui ont offert des fleurs aux femmes.

C’était le mois des voyages productifs. 7 jours sur 7, 4 semaines sur 4, 31 jours par mois, les pentalogiens ont voyagé par-ci, par-la : 120 vols effectués. Quelle mobilité! Figaro-ci, Figaro-là: oui, il s’agit des voyageurs du mois.

C’était le mois des voyages sans turbulences. Vols annulés, bagages perdus, modifications et déplacements de dernière minute? Non, ça ne concerne pas les voyages du mois de Mars (sauf de petites exceptions). Bravo à tous et merci d’avoir été tellement sages et bien organisés! Même notre PDG, Frédéric LASNIER, n’a eu aucune modification de déplacement! Ça c’est du progrès! Mais comme le Service Voyages se marie bien avec l’adrénaline, nous l’avons toutefois sentie en organisant le déplacement des managers à Orléans pour le séminaire du mois d’Avril.

C’était le mois des salons et des expositions informatiques. Merci à Petru METZGER de nous avoir fait partager ses émotions positives et ses impressions extraordinaires suite à la participation au CEBIT, un événement de taille mondiale qui a eu lieu à Hanovre, Allemagne : “Notre société a été aussi présente parmi les 4200 entreprises exposantes. La position de la Roumanie dans le cadre de cet événement a été près de celle de Pologne, Inde, Belgique, Brazil, Russie. Nous avons eu beaucoup de visiteurs qui étaient intéressés à collaborer avec les sociétés de Roumanie afin de transférer leur activité de l’Inde en Europe. Les causes principales étant l’irresponsabilité, les promesses vides, le non respect des délais de livraison, la qualité médiocre du code, un turnover élevé et le décalage horaire. Lors de ma présence au CEBIT, j’ai aussi exploré les stands d’autres sociétés afin d’établir de nouvelles relations et de faire connaissance avec leurs produits et services. Mon attention a été attirée par une société qui faisait l’analyse des messages circulant sur les réseaux sociaux et j’ai été agréablement surpris de voir que nous sommes très actifs dans ce domaine. En ce qui concerne mon hébergement, j’ai été logé dans un petit hôtel très agréable. Une des soirées, j’ai mangé dans un restaurant qui s’appelle KartoffelHouse, dans une maison vieille de 500 ans, mais qui semblait extraordinaire. J’ai été très surpris par la ponctualité des allemands. Mircea m’a montré ce que signifie être ponctuel. Même si notre hôtel se trouvait à 50 km distance de Hanovre, l’infrastructure et la bonne planification nous ont permis d’être au stand à 9h00 chaque jour. J’ai visité aussi Francfort, une ville très calme pendant les weekends, mais bien active pendant les nuits. Mircea m’a accompagné et m’a montré les BADs de Francfort, le château d’un client de LHS et Königstein am Taunus - une petite ville où résidaient beaucoup de riches.“ Voici quelques photos :

C’était aussi le mois des voyages agréables, de découverte et de beaux souvenirs. Merci à Diana MITA pour ses belles impressions : “My trip to Geneva was trully wonderful. It was my first visit there so I dared to enjoy it as much as possible. During 2 weeks of staying, I managed to visit everything I could find in internet that “is a must to visit”. In Moldova in that period was still Winter, but in Swizerland was already the begining of Spring, so I had a very nice time for exploration of old town, of *Jet d’eau*. Moreover, I saw the simbol of Swizerland - the uniq flowers clock that has no analogie in the entire world. As long as Geneva is in the heart of mountains, the sundowns are really unbelievable.“

C’était le mois des rencontres franco-moldaves: Jean-Paul LACOMBE, franco-roumaines: Guy LASNIER, Frederic LASNIER, Thierry PLASSON, Ludovic BAVOUZET, franco-moldo-roumaines: Virginie PICAULT, Dan DEUSAN.

C’était bien sûr le mois de Joyeux Anniversaires.  C’est un plaisir pour nous de vous souhaiter une vie en armonie et de la joie infinie.

A partir d’aujourd’hui, la société Pentalog Technology change de nom en Pentalog Ausy. La raison est une meilleure transposition au niveau du nom de la collaboration étroite avec notre partenaire et actionnaire de la société : Ausy.

Incepand de astazi, societatea Pentalog Technology isi schimba numele in Pentalog Ausy. Motivul este o mai buna transpunere la nivelul denumirii a colaborarii stranse pe care o avem cu partenerul nostru, care este in acelasi timp si actionar al societatii : Ausy.

This year, the budget for the trainings of Pentalog collaborators has been established at 0.5M€, beside a lot of other training and presentation events meant for the labor market and for the Universities. Globally, Pentalog will spend around 1M€ in 2012 in different training actions. This is to say that since the very beginning of the Pépinière department in 2007 (and even before) we understood that our growth needs to be sustained by an efficient training machine, which has become stronger every year with your help and participation.

As you all know, at the end of last year the organization changed and the Pèpinière department passed in the Operations Division of the group, a logical consequence if we keep in mind that the actors of this department are all Pentalog members, people who are eager to share their knowledge, good practices, methodologies, and their availability is managed by the operational part.

In terms of activities, Pépinière has the same three axes, but the responsibilities changed:
- the internship program - coordinated directly by the Delivery Center Managers
- the professional training program - coordinated by the Pépinière’s Training Manager
- the relation and partnerships with the Universities - run by the Delivery Center Managers with the help of the Pépinière’s Training Manager.

In the following paragraphs you will find the changes done for the 2012 training plan and the description of it. I am reminding you that in the beginning of each year the training plan is realized by the Pépinière and presented to the Board. The training plan is made starting from the training needs expressed by the Delivery Center Managers (based on individual interviews needs, projects needs), services responsibles and the Business Liners. Also the Pentalog strategy, the IT market tendencies and the continuous improvement needs of our collaborators are being taken into consideration.

Technologies are evolving and customer preferences changes as well. In these conditions, we need to be able to learn something new and to adapt fast to the new tendencies.

When establishing the objectives for 2012, we estimated that every Pentalog collaborator will benefit of at least 2.6 days of training / year.

For 2012 the training plan is estimated at around 6500 days. The plan includes:
- Technical trainings,
- Non-technical trainings,
- Foreign languages courses
- Internships.

The novelty is represented by the Enterprise trainings, which are meant to cover a large majority of the company collaborators and to ensure that everybody will grow with at least one level in their competencies (formal objective present in the quality policy of the group).
So this is how we divided the trainings categories:

A. Enterprise trainings, where we included the basic trainings identified with the help of the Delivery Center Managers; sessions of these trainings will be planned in each agency:
- Design Patterns (Java, PHP, .NET)
- Clean Code (Java, PHP, .NET)
- SCRUM Management - Agile
- People and Project Management
- Web Interfaces: HTML5/CSS3, jQuery
- Databases
- Business Intelligence
- Software Testing / Test Automation
- Foreign Languages

For these trainings we identified a group of Pentalog collaborators who will be initially trained by the persons who created the existing trainings and afterwards they will be able to deploy the trainings in their agencies - so there will be less constraints regarding the availability of a certain trainer.

B. Presentation sessions (1 hour, besides the working program) - who will want to share information on a certain topic with his/hers collaborators will have to prepare the presentation and Pépinière will help him/ her with the preparations and the marketing of the event.

C. Knowledge sharing sessions - more complex presentation sessions.

D. Project oriented trainings and self-trainings - answering to a specific need of a project.

The training plan for 2012 is available on Wiki KPE (via Intranet, “Common rules and Tools” section).

If you need a training which is not in the Training Plan, you can also refer to the Catalog of Trainings which is also available on the WIKI KPE (in the same document as the Training Plan). In this Catalog you will find all the possible trainings which can be animated in Pentalog.

L’équipe Infrastructure de Pentalog vous informe sur la mise en production du Catalogue des Services, sous forme d’une application web ou tout collaborateur de l’entreprise dispose d’accès.

Le rôle de cette application est de vous faciliter l’accès et la mise en commande pour l’ensemble de services que l’Équipe Infrastructure peut vous mettre a disposition, en cohérence avec les besoins de l’entreprise et nôtre périmètre de compétences.

La réalisation d’un catalogue des services fait partie de la mission stratégique du SII pour assurer une assistance IT performante et efficace. Les objectifs :

• Rendre une visibilité sur le type et le périmètre des services fournis par le SII ;

• Amener une convergence dans le service – le client (demandeur) et le fournisseur (SII) ont la même compréhension du service demandé ;

• Fournir un cadre complet pour un type de service (Description, pré-requis, information d’entrée, livrables, etc.) ;

• Industrialiser les services : L’utilisation systématique de pratiques communes (client et fournisseur) permet l’optimisation de la fournitures des services et la mise en place de mesures pour l’amélioration continue .

L’application est accessible depuis l’Intranet, au travers du lien spécifique Pentalog Service Catalog dans le bloc Common rules and tools.

Elle est organisée sous forme d’un blog, ou vous pouvez visualiser les services(articles), trier a base de a vos critères de recherche, consulter les informations sur le service qui vous intéresse et par la suite lancer dans un seul click la demande via SDI, sans besoin d’authentification supplémentaire.

Présentement, le catalogue contient un nombre riche d’articles, décrivant les services les plus fréquemment demandés dans l’activité quotidienne. Vous pouvez faire vos remarques ou demande d’ajout de nouveaux services en utilisant les commentaires pour les articles ou le lien [SDI] Je n’ai pas trouvé le service disponible en bas de la page d’accueil.

The month of February was far from being a boring month, voyages and events speaking.
Bucharest Agency had rented a brand new apartment, 7 mins walking distance from the office, and the first lucky one to stay there was our colleague from Chisinau Vasile PUTINA, he was also the most ingenious when fulfilling his “Demande de voyage”. In the column dedicated for ID number he wrote the ID number from his Identity Card, well done Vasile! Don’t mean it, please. Here are some pics of the new apartment in Bucharest:

Mobile World Congress in Barcelone has attracted lots of companies, Pentalog was among them with a nice stand. Mickael HIVER and Sophie LELARGE went there to represent Pentalog. Thanks to Mickael who did the demand for this expedition long time in advance and made our job easier, to book hotel, flight, etc. A good example to follow. On the other hand, our President Frédéric LASNIER was not so lucky when decided to join Mircea POPA and JC alias John Christian IVAN in Nuremberg last minute when all the hotels were fully booked. Ludmila’s adrenaline was up and down, the flight was changed several times, the hotel was modified as well, thanks to our girls’ experience and professionalism Olesea LOMACA and Ludmila APOSTOL, we made all these changes free of charge (we saved 300 € fot the hotel). Good job girls!
Some of pilgrims shared with us their impressions and experience during their trip. We present you some of their notes:

Valentin VASIU has brought to us the image of India seen through his eyes:
“It was my second time in India this year. And since we are only in February, you can imagine I wasn’t really eager to return to “Wonderful India”, how all the locals describe it. From the moment I stepped out of the plane, the specific smell of India hit me, bringing back all the memories from the first trip. But, I quickly snap out of that state, and braced myself for a tough onsite support for “our favorite customer”, as Ovidiu Ricu brilliantly put it in the previous newsletter.

This time, I stayed in a different hotel, in Delhi, on which I had no complaints. The only one was the distance, pretty far away from Noida. The most vivid image I still have in mind about India is the huge contrast between the rich and the poor. To give you an idea, imagine stepping out of a 4* hotel, in which you have all the comfort, and seeing, no more than 50 meters away, people living in the worst conditions possible, in the local “slums”. Makes you wonder…

The everyday trip to work was an adventure by itself. One hour, maybe one and a half hour of driving in terrible traffic was a “good” way to start the day. Constant honking, near-miss collisions, and bumpy road made every ride interesting. I even had a small car accident with the cab in my second day (nothing serious). But, I got used to it after a few days. Luckily, the people are nice and the common use of English language made the communication easy.
The food, hmm, is spicy, as you would expect from India. Still, after many “unsuccessful/painful” attempts, I discovered some very good dishes, somewhat saving the bad impression of Indian cuisine that all us Europeans have it by default.
In the end, what can I say… it was an interesting experience, with good and bad parts, but, I hope I won’t be returning any time soon, if you know what I mean :)”
Madalina GAVRILITA planned her visit to Chisinau unusually. In order to avoid the bad experience from her last trips, she followed a different strategy, she decided not to take anything precious (like gold accessories, perfume, etc.), because during her lasts visits, she lost her luggage and her favorite perfume, and good she didn’t lose her sense of humor! Thank you Mada for the good example of positive thinking! Here is her story:
”Am pornit la drum de sambata cu gandul sa nu ratez o cafea sambata seara in Bucu. Drumul a fost super pana in Buc, mai putin faptul ca mergeam ca de obicei fara GPS, iar pe drum nu se vedeau indicatoarele din cauza zapezii. Deci am facut mai putin pe autostrada decat cat m-am invartit pe centura si apoi sa gasesc adresa din Buc unde trebuia sa ajung. Fara alte peripetii am reusit sa ajung la Chi, unde ma astepta o colega cu care am mers la apartament. In rest, o saptamana de bonheur : agentia e super calduroasa, am prins si un mini-cocktail de ziua barbatului si  am lucrat cu 2 echipe pe care le apreciez foarte mult DQ si SAFMD. Am plecat incarcata cu idei noi, mult pozitivism si o geanta de bomboane Bucuria.”

Séverine FILIPPI was the most inspired to share with us the notes of her travelogue, let’s welcome her to the club:

”Voici quelques infos, anecdotes suite à mes 2 voyages de Février et qqs photos
Donc mon premier voyage s’est déroulé du 1er au 8 Février. Je me suis d’abord rendue à Bucarest afin de rencontrer mon équipe (projet d’un client Allemand) et discuter avec mon CP de la partie “Project Management”. C’est durant ce moment qu’il y avait de fortes neiges en France, mais aussi en Roumanie. C’est donc dans un climat très froid (-15/20°C)  que je suis arrivée à Bucarest. J’ai été obligée d’acheter des bottes après-ski exprès (!!!!), mais le séjour à Bucarest s’est bien passé, très enrichissant. J’ai également eu la chance d’être à l’agence en même temps que le séminaire Virtual Fanatic. Donc, je ne me suis pas sentie vraiment seule et j’ai passé aussi d’excellentes soirées en compagnie de mes collègues français. J’ai également pu diner avec mon équipe dans un petit resto sympa et faire une bataille de boules de neige (un peu de team building et de décompression !!!).
Le samedi matin j’avais la chance de ne pas travailler et donc je suis allée me balader au centre commercial Baneasa. Je n’avais jamais vu de ma vie un centre commercial de cette taille, à part peut être aux Etats-Unis et pourtant je suis une adepte du shopping !!!! J’étais comme une gosse là bas mais peu de shopping (snif) car ma valise était déjà trop remplie
Le Dimanche a été une journée un peu plus galère. En effet, je devais partir de Bucarest pour me rendre à Cluj. Le vol devait être court moins d’heure et le temps passé à l’aéropport très bref. Mais la météo en a décidé autrement. Il a neigé à nouveau. Je suis arrivée à 10H du matin dans la zone de Vols domestisques et j’ai quitté la zone à 19H !!!! Les vols pour Iasi et Timisoara ont été annulés mais le vol pour Cluj a été maintenu. Jusqu’à la dernière minute j’y ai cru car en effet ils sont allés même jusqu’à nous faire embarquer dans le bus de transfert pour l’avion pour nous faire redescendre 5 mn après !!!!  Le meilleur est que Sophie devait prendre l’avion après moi et elle est donc arrivée à l’aéroport vers 17H30 au moment où j’allais embarquer. Au final nous avons pris le même vol !!!! A Cluj, à cause également de la météo en France, mais aussi de la grève prévue au même moment en France (bah oui sinon ce n’est pas marrant), nous n’étions pas sûres que notre client allait pouvoir venir à Cluj. Mais fort heureusement la chance était de notre côté. Nous avons donc passé 2 jours à l’agence de Cluj. Pendant 2 jours, les entretiens se sont enchaînés et nous avons également pu faire partager au client les spécialités roumaines. Merci à Pierre. Et que dire de ce petit “Paradis” à Cluj, super hôtel avec Spa, que j’ai bien sûr testé en nocturne !!!!

Le retour en France s’est passé sans encombre, malgré la grève. Merci à Voyages de m’avoir rassurée. Deux semaines après mon retour en France, j’ai d retourner à Bucarest.
Bilan - 3 jours positifs, beaucoup d’échanges entre le client et l’équipe ainsi qu’une réunion très professionnelle avec Petru, le client et moi même. Tout cela bien sûr accompagnés de restaurants et de dîners très agréables en continuant à découvrir les plats locaux. Durant ce 2ème séjour j’ai également pu séjourner dans le nouvel appartement Pentalog à 5mn à pied de l’agence de Bucarest. L’appart est top, 2 chambres, 2 salles de bain dont 1 privative avec baignoire à remous !!!!! Cuisine équipée. Juste très bien. Voilà à peu près mes expériences de voyage. Avec moi il se passe toujours quelque chose !!!! Voici quelques photos, avec même des photos de l’avion avec vue sur les Alpes.

 Hoping that you’ve enjoyed the descriptions of our adventurers, we pass slowly to another chapter less entertaining, but more useful, where we decided to come this time with an additional information for those who are going to visit exotic destinations, till now the bravest to try were the members of ST-Ericsson Team who already experienced India, China. This information is for them and not only:

” Namaste” – the traditional greeting in India, this gesture consists of pressing both palms together and placing them at chest level followed with a slight nod of your head, you should not bow. You can use this gesture to say good morning, afternoon, evening, and even good bye.

When you go to an Indian restaurant, beckoning a waiter is a little bit different. Never use one finger to point or call smb over. If you do that you may find some extra ingredients in your food. Just kidding Being a European you can wave your hand back and forth or up and down as you would say “Good bye”. So just keep that in mind.

When you get invited to a meal, always expect that it will be at the person’s house, please never arrive early, always be late! Because either you will stand outside the door for a while or people will look at you like you are crazy. The Indian natives will expect you to be 15-30 mins late.

All in all, there is no doubt that all your trips will have good and bad parts, the most important is that you have this chance that others only can dream about! In conclusion we can only add:
Pack your courage in your suitcase and your Service Voyages will take care so you have a wonderful trip!

Dear Readers,

As part of our efforts to improve the quality of services for the Pentalog users,   the SII Team is preparing  a new project which aims for the optimization of our authentication, accounts and rights management platform through the implementation of a single, centralized structure for the Pentalog group.

Active Directory (AD) is the  central repository database which stores and organizes  the security credentials  (user id, passwords, associated rights) needed in order to  login to your Windows accounts   or to   access network resources such as shares, printers or remote terminal sessions.

Our objective is to  move from  an existing  decentralized AD infrastructure  (multiple independent domains,  one per each Pentalog site)  to a unique and  global AD infrastructure that will regroup  the  security credentials of all  Pentalog users and ressources in a single repository, and in time be used as single point  of authentication  for all our transverse services such  as Zimbra Mail Services,  Instant  Messaging or other internal applications.

This new architecture brings many advantages for the users:
-facilitating access to ressources and services in the different agencies (network shares, wifi hotspots, printers, etc) through the usage of a single account and the automatic mapping of said ressources
-improved security through - frequent password changes (controlled by the users); limited account properties access, managing access logs and traces, installation and automatic propagation of updates
-improved redundancy and network availability for the continuity of access and services
-better and faster user and resource management through a single point of entry administration system that is automatically replicated throughout the rest of the sites, ressources and sevices

In the initial phases of the project it was estimated that once everything will be in place, the costs that are attached/generated by Active Directory (and it’s associated services) maintenance tasks will be brouth down to almost 50% of their current values.

The migration process will be executed gradually towards the new architecture in order to minimize the risks. In some locations there will be overhauls of the network IP addressing system that will address the saturation of the networks, allowing as many new clients as needed while separating projects and their resources from the rest of the users. These phases have as main objective the modernization of our logical network organization and the increase of available IP addresses. All of these actions will be executed while trying to minimise the impact on the production.

This project will also offer the exploitation and research environment for our sister department - SIL – as well as the DT and Virtual Fanatic , to try and implement centralized LDAP authentication for our internal applications, which will bring improved security and access facility to all Pentalog users.

Please note, however, that this project will be executed in stages that vary in complexity, so all advertised features will not be available from the start. Some will only be available at the end of 2012. Future news will detail the advancement and stages of this project and will be made available as advancement is being made for each agency.

Comme vous le savez déjà, une solution centralisée d’antivirus est déployée  dans l’infrastructure Pentalog.
Afin de préserver la sécurité de notre réseau, une analyse complète antivirus doit être exécuté périodiquement sur chacun de nos ordinateurs.
Pour avoir moins d’impact sur votre taches quotidiens, cet analyse est prévue chaque jeudi nuit au vendredi matin, à partir de 23:30 heures (à votre heure locale).

Alors, nous vous prions de ne pas arrêter votre station les jeudis, mais tout simplement la redémarrer et laissez-la allumée (ne pas oublier de désactiver les modes “Attente” et “Mise en veille prolongée” si c’est le cas).

Important:
* Vous n’êtes pas obligé de laisser votre station mobile au bureau, cette “analyse planifiée” (”scheduled scan“)  va commencer elle-même si vous laissez simplement votre station allumée, peu importe où vous êtes.
* Si cet événement est interrompue, l’analyse va démarrer automatiquement lorsque vous allumez la station de nouveau le lendemain (par exemple si vous l’arrêtez ou si elle va dans “Attente” ou “Mise en veille prolongée“).

De cette façon, nous essayons de garder nos stations propres de virus et d’autres menaces, et de «rester vert» dans le même temps (généralement cette analyse complète est prévue se déclencher tous les jours, alors que nous avons choisi une seul nuit par semaine)

Hi all,

As you already know, a centralized antivirus solution was deployed on Pentalog infrastracture.
To preserve the security of our network,  a full computer scan must be executed on a regular basis
In order to have less impact on your daily schedule, this scan is scheduled every Thursday night to Friday morning, starting at 23:30 hours (on your local time).

We kindly ask you not to shutdown your station those Thursday nights, but simply reboot it (restart it) and let it running (do not forget to deactivate the “Standby” and ‘Hibernate’ options if it’s the case).

Important:
* Your are not constrained to let your mobile station at the office, this “scheduled scan” will start itself no matter were you are, if you just let your station running.
* If this event is missed, the full computer scan will automatically start itself when you turn on the station again the next day ( if you shutdown the station or if it goes in Suspend / Hibernate mode).

In this way, we’re trying to keep our stations clean of viruses and other threats, and to “stay green” in the same time (usually this full scan is scheduled on a every day basis)

Pentru a păstra securitatea reţelei noastre, o scanare antivirus completă trebuie să fie executată în mod regulat
În scopul de a avea un impact mai mic asupra programului dumneavoastră de zi cu zi, aceasta scanare este programată în fiecare Joi noapte spre Vineri dimineaţă, începând cu ora 23:30 (ora locală).

Va rugam deci sa nu opriti staţiile de lucru in zilele de Joi spre Vineri, ci doar să le reporniţi (reboot) - nu uitaţi să dezactivaţi opţiunile “Standby” si “Hibernate ” dacă este cazul.

Important:
* Nu este obligatoriu să lasaţi staţiile mobile la birou, scanarea se va declanşa indiferent unde va aflaţi atât timp cât staţia este pornită
* În cazul în care acest eveniment nu se poate declansa, scanarea completă va porni automat atunci când porniţi staţia din nou, a doua zi (de exemplu, daca aţi oprit-o sau daca a trecut in unul din modurile Stand By/Suspend / Hibernate).

În acest fel, vom încerca să ţinem toate statiile noastre fără viruşi şi alte ameninţări, şi in acelasi timp să nu contribuim foarte mult la poluarea planetei (de obicei, acestă scanare completă se planifică în fiecare zi)

Et les cheminées tirent bien par un temps comme celui-ci, et les gens, semble-t-il, deviennent petits et, toujours en hâte, vont chez-eux, et la vie, semble-t-il, est gelée….

It’s not about Pentalog! It’s not about us! Chez nous la vie a un rythme Aram Zam Zam indifféremment de ce que se passe au-dehors! Chez nous, malgré les -20°C, le mois de janvier a été productif et nos collaborateurs ont effectué de nombreux voyages. Car vous, chers lecteurs, vous connaissez bien, les Pentaloguiens ne se laissent pas effrayés par une rafale ou par une bise,  pour eux chaque obstacle n’est qu’une nouvelle provocation.
Cette news sera un peu différente, elle sera un mélange de français, anglais et roumain et d’impressions personnelles, car cette fois-ci nous donnons la parole à nos voyageurs.

Nous allons commencer la news avec les confidences de Ciprian PROFIRE et Mihai STOIAN. Ils ont effectué un voyage à Herzebrock, Allemagne.

Ciprian PROFIRE: “Nice to meet you were some of my first words when coming to Pentalog on a not so cold 3rd of January. On the 5th me and my colleague Mihai Stoica, took the plane towards Paderborn. To reach Herzebrock-Clarholz, our final destination, we took a cab, chatty and nice driver it had, but all was good so far. The funny part was at the hotel, when we arrived: it was closed and it was raining. After several minutes of walking from the front to the rear entrance and finally noticing a printed page stuck on a window saying “Temporarily closed”, we decided to call Voyages Service for further instructions. Excusing myself for bad command of French language I asked the pleasant voice at the other end to continue in English, wish not granted since the other option given was more appealing: Romanian. A little more fun added to the already funny situation. Andrei BUSMACHIU nous a raconté son voyage à Paris: “Am fost la Paris pentru a face cunostinta cu clientul, cu istoria companiei, modul ei de functionare si la ce o sa trebuiasca sa lucrez. M-a deranjat faptul ca m-am trezit la 3 de noapte, ca sa iau avionul la 5.45. De asemenea, lipsa cel putin a unei parti de zi pentru a vizita orasul a fost deranjanta, si  nu prea am reusit sa vad nimic, cu toate ca am mai fost in Paris. La plecare m-am inteles cu seful de proiect sa ne trezim la 7 dimineata, ca sa luam avionul la 10.00. La 7.15 bat la el in usa si el doarme. Culmea a fost ca nu s-a prea grabit, chiar si-a alocat timp pentru a calca camasa cu toate ca eram in intirziere. Eu mi-am luat revansa la micul dejun la hotel, unde am mincat bine, fara sa ma grabesc. In drum spre aeroport, stateam cu frica sa nu pierdem avionul, iar cind ne-am dat jos la Charles de Gaulle 2, pai am fugit pina la check-in… Mai aveam 15 minute…”

Food is wonderfull and chinese speak with great pleasure about it. They show great pleasure doing subtle suggestions for me and speaking about differences between foods in different part of the country. For an usual meal, are ordered at least tree types of food, beside soup and rice. The food is placed in the middle of the table and is shared. Drinking alchool is not a common practice and during meal you’ll be served with tea.
I tried once, being alone in restaurant to order tea which sound like „chaay” but after few tries I was asked with a smiling face „beea?”. I could bet she got my tea wish, but instead she brought me beer. They usually don’t expect Europeans to drink tea.
End of mission, few beea, a lot of chaay, few pictures, nice people and flowers everywhere.”

Dear Pentalog Users,

The SII Project team has been working on implementing solutions for improving the overall network systems and services in each Pentalog agency. One such action is the LDP project. This project spans several months and has multiple important targets, such as the upgrade of our internal DNS server, layering access rights, centralizing user and access management, improving user services like automatic printers and network installation and improving overall network and service security.

The first migration that this project addresses is the upgrade of our internal DNS server. The DNS service allows automatic translation of domain names into IP addresses thus enabling easier network resource access. The advantages of this migration include - but are not limited to - a centralized management system, better access rights management, automatic scavenging of deprecated entries, backups and redundant systems, as well as a speed-up of interventions time from the Helpdesk Department.

The change described in this article is planned to be transparent to all the users in Pentalog and to have no impact whatsoever on the production, but please take note to reboot your computers on Monday morning before starting your workday in order for the changes to take full effect.

Dans le cadre du projet d’évolution de la plateforme de mail nous sommes prêts de renforcer la sécurité de communication entre le serveur et vos clients de messagerie.

En plus du cryptage IPSec (VPN) existant, nous allons passer la communication en mode SSL.

L’action va se dérouler entre 30 Janvier et 2 Mars 2012.

Après 2 Mars nous allons fermer l’accès non-SSL et nous allons ouvrir l’accès externe pour les connexions POP et IMAP. Ceux avec des laptops vont avoir la possibilité d’utiliser Thunderbird/Outlook en dehors de la réseau Pentalog sans VPN.

Chaque utilisateur va recevoir par mail des instructions détaillés pour configurer lui-même le paramètre de sécurité, et si besoin les techniciens SII vont intervenir pour vous aider.

Voici le plan d’action:

Hello,

As part of the mail platform evolution project we are ready to strenghten the communication security between the server and your email clients.

In addition to the existing IPSec encryption (VPN) we will switch all communication to SSL mode.

The action will take place between January 30th and March 2nd.

After March wnd we will close the non-SSL access and we will open the external access to POP and IMAP connections. Those with laptops will be able to use Thunderbird/Outlook outside the Pentalog network without using a VPN connection.

Each user will receive detailed instructions by email in order to configure himself the security setting, and if necessary the SII technicians will assist you.

Here is the schedule of this action:

Propunerile legislative de la finalul lui 2011, care urmareau sa adauge datele de 30 noiembrie si 24 ianuarie pe lista zilelor libere, nu au trecut de Parlament.

Prin urmare aceste zile nu sunt libere, se lucreaza in mod normal.

Nous revoici avec la NL du mois de Décembre. Avant de passer aux nominations du mois, nous vous proposons de passer en revue toutes les destinations où les pentaloguiens se sont rendus en mission de travail. Non, nous n’allons pas citer toutes les localités ici, nous avons fait plus simple et plus visuel – une carte .

Pendant le dernier mois de l’année, nos collègues ont eu des destinations (devenues déjà habituelles) européennes – Chisinau, Bucarest, Paris, Brasov, Orléans, Francfort, Genève et asiatiques – Greater Noida, Hanoi, Bangalore.

Le mois de décembre débute assez chaud – le 1-er Sébastian Achim prend l’avion de Sibiu vers Greater Noida, le 2 Aymeric LIBEAU a un vol Paris – Hanoi et le week-end du 3, l’aventure commence avec la modification du retour San Francisco – Sibiu de Cosmin Olivian POPA.  Le décalage d’horaire posait un peu de problème à joindre directement la manager de l’hôtel, avec lequel nous négocions un tarif meilleur, mais cela a mérité 400 USD de remise  pour la prolongation d’une semaine. A ce voyage nous attribuons le titre – la meilleure remise du mois.

Le voyageur surpris c’est Jean Paul LACOMBE. Lors de l’embarquement pour Paris – Chisinau, il apprend que la compagnie aérienne qui doit opérer le vol a changé et il a refusé de prendre le vol. Nous avons vite trouvé un autre billet pour le même jour mais jusqu’à Iasi et le lendemain il est arrivé à Chisinau.

La mission vedette constitue le séminaire Virtual Fanatic qui a fait venir beaucoup de monde à Bucharest, donc nous avons eu à organiser des déplacements internes tant qu’externes.

Le titre du voyageur d’honneur revient à l’auditeur externe, Gabriela ANGHELESCU, qui s’est rendue aux agences de Brasov, Iasi et Chisinau. Le voyage s’est bien passé, l’audit s’est bien passé, donc bravo à Aleth DELCENSERIE et à toute l’équipe !

Le cadeau pour nos voyageurs – Nous sommes sûres que le Père Noël a été assez généreux avec vous, que vous avez été sages, que vous vous êtes conformés aux procédures voyages, que vous  avez un grand respect pour notre travail. Pour tout cela et encore parce que nous vous aimons, mais plus, parce que nous aimons  notre travail, nous avons réalisé une vidéo comme cadeau pour vous. Due to the latest changes in Pentalog, the technical department will evolve into Pentalog Institute. However, despite the fact that the priorities management will be completely different and the average time spent on activities will change, our missions and expectations will remain the same as grouped bellow:

The newly created Pentalog Institute was designed together with Sophie and the Business Liners and was strongly supported by the board. The first communication on this subject was made to the Project Directors on 23rd of November in Orleans during my last visit and ended with an average ROTI of 4 for 7 attendees.
Today I’ve just made a second deployment to my team. Also several people from production attended and we achieved an average ROTI of ~4.2 for 9 attendees.
The next step is to present these changes to Manu followed by the deployment for all other managers into the 4th step => all this should happen in the beginning of January.

Certification ISO 9001 : 2008 : renouvellement assuré!

A l’issue d’un road-trip de 1000 km et 5 jours d’audits menés sur les sites Pentalog de Brasov, Iasi et Chisinau, l’auditeur Afnor vient de se prononcer pour le renouvellement de notre certificat* ISO 9001:2008, et son extension à notre filiale de recrutement informatique People Centric.

Pendant 1 semaine, le top et le middle management, nos activités de ventes, de gestion des ressources humaines (recrutement, gestion des compétences, formation), de support (achats, système d’information), notre boucle d’amélioration ainsi qu’une douzaine de projets ont ainsi été audités. L’échantillonnage était très représentatif de la diversité des projets du groupe: des plateaux de 25 à 40 personnes, des petites équipes, des forfaits, des projets entièrement pilotés par les clients, de l’infogérance, du recrutement, des projets francophones, anglophones, des clients français, belges, allemands, suisses…

Dans toutes les unités auditées, l’auditeur a pu confirmer la conformité et la fonctionnalité de notre système de management de la qualité, sa flexibilité et son amélioration, ainsi que son adéquation à nos besoins de croissance et de réactivité.
De nombreux point forts viennent ainsi souligner l’implication du management dans le soutien et la promotion de l’amélioration continue à Pentalog (SSII), le maintien de notre croissance et de nos résultats financiers en temps de crise, un fort taux de recommandations de nos clients (93,55%), un système de transmission des fonctions bien implémenté, l’adaptation de notre système aux particularités de nos clients, une bonne utilisation des outils pour supporter nos processus, notre communication interne et client ainsi qu’un partage reconnu des bonnes pratiques et des connaissances.
Plusieurs pistes de progrès, toutes liées à la boucle d’amélioration du système, ont par ailleurs été identifiées, afin d’aller toujours plus loin dans l’amélioration de notre efficacité et notre excellence.

Ce n’est pas particulièrement dans ma nature, mais aujourd’hui je me sens vraiment fière des progrès accomplis tous ensemble, depuis 4 ans, et de la qualité des projets et des activités que nous avons présentés cette semaine. L’implication et les efforts accomplis par tous n’ont pas été vains, ils sont aujourd’hui justement récompensés.
Un grand merci à tous les audités pour leur participation, et à tous les pentaloguiens qui s’investissent, au quotidien, dans l’application et l’amélioration de notre système, pour la satisfaction de nos clients, de leurs clients, et le soutien de la croissance de notre entreprise à tous.

Managementul superior şi intermediar, activităţile noastre comerciale, gestionarea resurselor umane (recrutarea, gestionarea competenţelor, formarea profesională), activităţile de suport (achiziţii, sisteme informatice), activităţile de îmbunătăţire, precum şi douăsprezece proiecte au făcut obiectul unui audit timp de o saptămână. Selecţia a fost reprezentativă pentru diversitatea proiectelor grupului: echipe de 25 până la 40 de persoane, echipe mai mici, proiecte cu preţ fix, proiecte gestionate integral de către clienţi, gestiunea proiectelor informatice, recrutarea, proiectele din Franţa sau Marea Britanie, precum şi clienţii din Franţa, Belgia, Germania, Elveţia, etc.
 
În toate unităţile care au făcut obiectul auditului, auditorul a putut atesta conformitatea şi funcţionalitatea sistemului nostru de management al calităţii, flexibilitatea şi îmbunătăţirea acestuia, precum şi faptul că acesta este adecvat nevoilor nostre de creştere şi reactivitate.
Astfel, numeroase puncte forte subliniază implicarea managementului în susţinerea şi promovarea îmbunătăţirii continue în cadrul Pentalog, menţinerea creşterii şi a rezultatelor noastre financiare pe timp de criză, un nivel înalt de recomandare din partea clienţilor (93,55%), un sistem de transmitere a funcţiilor bine implementat, adaptarea sistemului nostru la particularităţile clienţilor noştri, o bună utilizare a instrumententelor pentru a veni în sprijinul proceselor noastre, comunicării noastre interne şi cu clientul, precum şi pentru asigurarea împărtăşirii cunoştinţelor şi a bunelor practici.
Au fost identificate mai multe direcţii de dezvoltare care au o legătură directă cu îmbunătăţirea sistemului (bucla de ameliorare) şi care ne vor permite să îmbunătăţim chiar mai mult eficacitatea şi competenţele noastre.
 
Chiar dacă nu îmi stă în fire să fac asemenea afirmaţii, astăzi pot spune că mă simt într-adevăr mândră de progresele pe care le-am înregistrat împreună timp de 4 ani şi de calitatea proiectelor şi activităţilor pe care le-am prezentat săptămâna aceasta. Implicarea şi eforturile tuturor nu au fost în zadar; astăzi au fost recompensate pe măsură.
Mulţumim tuturor celor care au participat la audit şi tuturor angajaţilor Pentalog care îşi aduc contribuţia la îmbunătăţirea sistemului nostru zi de zi, pentru satisfacerea cerinţelor clienţilor noştri şi ale clienţilor acestora, precum şi pentru susţinerea creşterii companiei noastre.

Sau một quãng đường dài 1000 km và 5 ngày thẩm định tại các chi nhánh của Pentalog ở Brasov, Iasi và Chisinau, ban thẩm định của AFNOR (Hiệp hội tiêu chuẩn hóa của Pháp) đã quyết định chứng nhận Pentalog và đơn vị liên kết về tuyển dụng People Centric tiếp tục đạt tiêu chuẩn ISO 9001:2008.

Trong suốt một tuần, các chuyên gia của AFNOR đã tiến hành thẩm định toàn bộ hoạt động quản lý từ trên xuống, hoạt động bán hàng, quản lý nguồn nhân lực (các vấn đề về tuyển dụng, quản lý kỹ năng, đào tạo), hoạt động hỗ trợ (mua bán, quản lý hệ thống thông tin), quản lý chất lượng và khoảng 12 dự án. Các hoạt động được đánh giá đều tiêu biểu cho tính đa dạng của các dự án của Pentalog : tổ chức đội ngũ từ 25 – 40 thành viên, hình thức nhóm nhỏ, trọn gói, các dự án do khách hàng chỉ đạo toàn bộ, hoạt động gia công, tuyển dụng, các dự án cho các khách hàng đa quốc gia (Pháp, Bỉ, Đức, Thụy Sỹ…).

ISO 9001:2008 Certification: renewal guaranteed!

Following a 1000 km road trip and 5 days of audits performed on Pentalog sites in Brasov, Iasi and Chisinau, the AFNOR auditor has just decided in favour of the renewal of our ISO 9001:2008 certificate*, and its extension to People Centric, our recruitment subsidiary.

During one week, the top and middle management, our sales activities, our human resources management activities (recruitment, skills management, training), our support activities (purchasing, information systems), our improvement loop, as well as a dozen projects have been audited. The sampling was highly representative for the diversity of projects of the group: team made up of 25 to 40 individuals, small teams, fixed-price projects, projects entirely steered by clients, outsourcing, recruitment, French projects, English projects; French, Belgian, German, Swiss customers …

In all the audited sites, the auditor was able to acknowledge the compliance and the functionality of our quality management system, its flexibility and improvement, as well as its suitability to our needs for growth and responsiveness.
Thus, there are numerous strong points emphasizing the involvement of the management in order to support and promote the continuous improvement in Pentalog (it outsourcing company), the maintenance of our growth rate and our financial results during this crisis period, a high recommendation rate from the part of our customers (93.55%), a well implemented system for the assignment of duties, the capacity of our system to adjust to our customers’ special requirements, a good use of tools to support our processes, an internal and customer communication, as well as a recognized sharing of good practices and knowledge.
In addition, several progress trackings, all related to the system improvement loop, have been identified in order to continue to improve our efficiency and our know-how.

Even if it’s not in my nature, today I am really proud of the progress we achieved together, over the past 4 years, and of the quality of the projects and activities we have presented during this week. Everybody’s involvement and efforts have not been for nothing, and today they are fairly rewarded.

Suite aux multiples situations que nous avons eu dernièrement, Service Voyage vous rappelle les procédures à suivre lors d’un voyage :

1. Train/bus en RO au lieu de navette/taxi

Le taxi ne doit pas être utilisé que pour des impératifs ou horaires « impossibles », voir exceptions. En conséquence, vous trouverez les horaires de train en suivant ce lien http://www.mersultrenurilor.ro/. Juste dans le cas où il y a des clients qui vous rendent visite, nous allons faire appel à Florin pour bénéficier de ses services. Pour le trajet BRA-IAS, nous allons faire appel à Florin juste pour les managers (niveau 1 à 4) à la place du bus.

2. Appartement P5 au lieu d’hôtel

Pentalog loue et met à votre disposition des appartements presque dans toutes les villes où nous sommes implantés. Seulement dans le cas où il n’y a plus de places disponibles dans ceux-ci, nous vous proposons des hôtels/pensions.

3. Heure navette à respecter

Pour ne pas prendre le risque d’être en retard et de perdre votre vol si précieux, nous vous remercions de respecter l’heure indiquée par le chauffeur de la navette.

Bonjour chers collègues,

Nous vous invitons dans un voyage imaginaire dans le passé « Sur les traces des Pentaloguiens au mois de novembre »

Commençons notre circuit touristique avec une des plus populaires destinations, la France. Entre rêve et réalité, prenons le vol vers Paris avec Sebastian Lupu, puis prenons le train vers Rennes dans la compagnie de nos collègues de Sibiu et Bucarest: Cristian Brailescu, Marius Rogobete, Mircea Guizan, Valentin Vasiu, Eors Imre, Daniel Ciortescu, Andrei Gansari, Vadim Ciuruc et Victor Uzum.

A l’aéroport Charles de Gaulle nous avons la chance de croiser Alexandru Lazar, Adrian Holom, Vlad Ciobanu ou même Aleth Delcenserie.

Le lendemain, nous allons visiter le Mans, où nous allons rencontrer Paul Boicu et Sorin Dumitrescu. Notre programme continue avec la visite de l’agence d’Orléans sur les traces de Cornel Fatulescu et Gregory Rondin.

Ensuite, nous vous proposons deux options. Les plus courageux peuvent s’aventurer à explorer des destinations plus éloignées, plus exotiques. Les autres peuvent opter pour un trajet plus classique en Europe.

Ceux qui préfèrent les aventures doivent s’armer de patience et de courage, car nous allons visiter Rio de Janeiro sur les traces de Nguyen Hoang Nguyen et Mihai Rebrisoreanu, qui a du changer 3 hôtels pendant son séjour. De l’Amérique Latine nous allons nous envoler vers la découverte de l’Amérique du Nord, notamment vers San Francisco et Raleigh.

A San Francisco nous pourrons rencontrer Cosmin Olivian Popa, qui a remplacé Florin Dracman. Leurs déplacements sont entrés dans le top des voyages de dernière minute. Grâce à l’astreinte, en moins de 6 heures tout a été bien organisé: billet d’avion, hébergements, voiture.

A Raleigh, nous pouvons rendre visite à Dumitru Vechiu, notre collègue de Chisinau.

Le voyage des courageux continue en Asie sur les traces de Benone Aligica, Radu Tompa, Ovidiu Ricu et Marius Archip, qui ont été en novembre dans un déplacement en Greater Noida, Inde et puis sur les traces de Lucian Tudor et Dorin Covaliu, les explorateurs du Shanghai, Chine.

Le circuit touristique asiatique se termine par la visite de notre agence de Hanoï. A la fin du mois de novembre Binh Vu Than est rentré au Vietnam. Nous profitons de l’occasion pour lui souhaiter bonne vacances. En prenant le même vol que Frédéric Lasnier et Virginie Picault de Hanoï à Paris nous allons revenir à l’agence de Bucarest, qui comme d’habitude, a accueilli un grand nombre de collaborateurs: Frédéric Lasnier, Virginie Picault, Thierry Plasson, Cornel Fatulescu, Rodica Patrascu, Maxim Badarau, Cristian Popa, Costin Dumitrescu, Ioana Dubles.

Ceux qui préfèrent les destinations classiques en Europe peuvent continuer le voyage en prenant le vol vers Bruxelles dans la compagnie de Sebastian Hanu, Cristina Prunescu et Petre Constantin, vers Milan avec Denis Borozan, vers Paderborn avec Bianca Huluban et Raluca Haragus ou vers Prague avec Frédéric Lasnier.

Vous avez aussi la possibilité de partir sur les traces de Ludovic Bavouzet en passant par l’agence de Brasov, Iasi et Chisinau. L’agence de Brasov a été visitée aussi par Virginie Picault, Catalin Mihalache, Andrea Dumitriu, Thierry Plasson, Anca Copariu, Alexandra Stanescu, Andrea Andres.

Pour l’agence de Iasi le mois de novembre a été assez fructueux: visite de Frédéric Lasnier, Monica Jiman, Charly Clerfeuille, Irina Deaky, Dan Deusan. Si vous suivez les traces de Dan Deusan vous arriverez à l’agence de Chisinau. Attention: si vous voulez vraiment arriver à Chisinau, évitez le vol Bucarest-Chisinau du matin. Eugen Predescu et Ion Vasilov peuvent vous le confirmer.
